Sørøya or "the green island" is located in the northern part of Norway. Sørøya is the 4th biggest island in Norway, covering 815 km2. and have about 1100 inhabitants.
At the island you will find high alpine mountains with a spectacular vegetation, we also have 4 wildlife reservations.
Sørøya and the surroundings must be visited all year round. We have apx 1200 fishing lakes and many hares and ptarmigans.
It is also possible to pick seagull eggs and berries like blueberries and cloudberries.

The location of Sørøya out here in the ocean make the island more for changes in the weather. The weather changes very fast, which a lot of our guest from abroad thinks is very exotic and shows how strong the weather can be.
